Our Mission and Vision
‘To Know Christ...and Make Him Known’... In a nutshell, that is our mission and vision. As a result, our focus on two main activities:
Evangelism - making Christ known to a lost and dying world.
Edification - knowing Christ and helping each other know Him better.
This two-fold mission guides our activities individually and collectively.
For, to experience the “surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus as Lord,”
we must continually “press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus,”
(see Philippians 3:2 – 16). And, thus, we must make as our life’s goal that which
was the apostle Paul’s life goal: “For to me, to live is Christ...[that] Christ may always be exalted in my body,”
(see Philippians 1:20 – 21).
Furthermore, this two-fold mission also casts our vision: "to make Christ known".
In knowing Christ and in living for Christ, God prepares us to shine for Christ
“that others may see our good works and glorify our Father who is in heaven,”
(see Matthew 5:14 – 16).
He lifts up our eyes to the fields that are ripe and ready for harvesting for His kingdom
(see John 4:31 – 38).
He also causes His love for the lost to germinate in us.
‘To know Christ... and Make Him Known’.
That is our mission and vision, as we gather for study, worship, and fellowship,
and as we scatter to be the “salt of the earth” and the “city set on a hill”
(see Matthew 5:13 – 16).
Why don’t you join us, as God uses us to pursue and fulfill this mission –
His mission and vision – before Jesus comes again?
